Cell for the light sensing parts; Derived from RU1012 and carries an additional transposon insertion which knocks out rbsB and rbsK (ribose binding protein and ribokinase) (Baumgartner et al., 1994); from Natalie Kuldell (MIT)/Jeff Tabor (UT Austin).
KanR; used for "coli-roids" when transformed with phytochrom biosynthetic genes and chimeric light receptor.
